Wound healing, can Lipid (carrier/plant) oils help?

When the skin is wounded, it goes through three phases.

Inflammation

Which is necessary, to begin with, to rid the body of any foreign object or substance that might enter the bloodstream.

Tissue formation

Where cells start to reproduce and multiply to heal the wound site

Tissue remodelling.

Where new skin formation replaces the damaged skin.

Given that the essential fatty acids in lipid oils work on the inflammatory response and skin protection and structure, it is beneficial to apply certain oils that can help with the wound healing process. However, this application needs to be approached with caution. In some cases, the lipid oils can actually inhibit the wound healing process by suppressing the inflammatory response too much and interfering with the natural wound healing stages.
