I always prefer to use a spatula with a product like this to avoid cross-contamination. The balm is preservative-free, so it’s ideal for helping stop dirt, bacteria and other undesirable things from getting into it.

In the interest of sustainability, I don’t include one with each pack. The ones I’ve created are a bit more substantial, not to mention more beautiful, than the throwaway ones you see in many beauty products.
