Bespoke Scent Creation for the Sales lounge of the Independent Hotel Show London 2026
At the Independent Hotel Show 2025, the theme 'Redefining Luxury' is about creating experiences that are authentic, personal, and sustainable. Studio Atara’s Restorative Sales Lounge expresses this vision beautifully. It offers a calm refuge in the middle of a lively trade show, designed to sharpen focus, ease fatigue and encourage meaningful conversation. The event runs in London in the Olympia exibition centre from the 6-7th October.2026.
Redefining Luxury
This is the second year I have worked with Timna and the Montgomery Group for the Independent Hotel Show London. In 2024, I was the official scent provider for the show, and I received excellent feedback on how the bespoke scent elevated the experience. Each year, I create something unique, shaped by the concept of the space and the theme of the show. In this way, scent becomes part of the evolving story of Redefining Luxury.
My approach to scent
For me, scent is never just fragrance. I create functional aromatherapeutic scents, blends that are designed with intention as well as beauty. Each is crafted to respond to the client’s needs and the atmosphere of the space. Drawing on my training in aromatherapy, I bring together the elegance of perfumery with the wellness benefits of natural extracts. These formulations can refresh the air, aid focus and foster a subtle sense of balance.
Redefining luxury through scent
Timna Rose’s design approach, rooted in biophilic principles, WELL Standard strategies, and sustainable materials, resonates strongly with my philosophy. We both place people at the centre, valuing experiences that are sensory, thoughtful and restorative. The bespoke scent I designed becomes part of this shared vision. It works quietly in the background, enhancing wellbeing, focus and connection.

The Restorative Blend
For the Sales Lounge, I created a blend that mirrors its intention. Invigorating herbs and warming spice notes bring clarity and energy. Gentle floral tones soften the blend, adding a sense of calm. Natural extracts with cleansing qualities keep the atmosphere feeling fresh and comfortable. The result is a scent that energises without overwhelming, and restores without distracting.
